Meet the Herd

Bandit is the free spirit of the herd! He also happens to be a personal horse for Tracey who has owned him since he was a gangly horse teenager. It’s a good thing that Bandit likes his friends because there is no fence on the property that is too high for him to jump over. He lets us know all the time that he could leave anytime he wants to but chooses to stay because he likes us! He is also the first one to initiate a good play session with the rest of the geldings in the herd.

When Ricky Bobby first came to our property he let us know that he used to being waited on and promptly took himself into the barn and found a stall to his liking. He waited for us to come and groom him and feed him something other than just the nasty green grass that was all around him. Ricky Bobby has proven to be a real gem—he is truly a gentle giant and loves it in the arena or the mountain although he does have to watch out for dangerous mountain butterflies. Ricky Bobby is Tim's horse.

Sisco is the first to come and say hello, and happens to also be quite a looker! Lots of children ask if he is Spirit from the Disney movie "Spirit stallion of the Cimarron." He is also a favourite for first-time riders as he is a pretty chilled out dude and takes good care of his riders. He is also one of the first to initiate a good play session and likes to keep the young whippersnappers in line.

Everyone loves a Paint Pony, and that’s our little Bo Bo. He is our go-to horse for nervous riders in the mountains because he is as agile and sure-footed as a goat and really takes care of his riders. He is a gentle soul and makes a good friend to the younger horses, and has been known to chase the odd Grizzly Bear out of camp.

Scout is our one of our new horses, another pretty paint with a heart of gold can do it all—arena work, moving cows or backcountry riding. He loves his people and loves to cuddle, but also loves to work hard. He is never hard to catch and would rather hang with his hoomans than be with the other horses except for his best buds.

Ringo is another newbie and is still pretty young and in the midst of being trained for more specific tasks. He is athletic and gentle and we are excited to bring out his full potential. He is also an affectionate boy and loves to cuddle and play! Though he is still young and will get into things that are left out you may see him playing tug of war with his friends if we leave a rubber feeding tub in the pasture.

Remy is our newest horse; he is a gentle giant and a lover of all hoomans! He is also a very handsome dude and is super chilled out and ready for any kind of adventure. We are excited to get to know this big handsome boy, and know he will take good care of riders of all levels.
