At the Painted Warriors Ranch, we ride all year long and never tire of exploring the wilderness that surrounds us here in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. No matter what season, there’s stunning natural beauty to explore on horseback. We have a special herd here at Painted Warriors and a horse for every kind of visitor, whether you're here for an afternoon trail ride or taking the backcountry experience of a lifetime.
We offer a variety of opportunities to learn new skills and immerse yourself in an Indigenous experience that will help reconnect you to yourself, your horse, and the outdoors. You’ll learn new skills such as natural navigation, geology, animal track and medicinal plant identification, horse riding, and backcountry basics.
Woven into all we do at Painted Warriors is our unique Indigenous perspective and the stories we share with our guests make riding with us a special experience every time we head out into the mountains.
When you learn with us, you’ll gain more than new skills.
